Onions, peppers, buttermilk, tomatoes, lettuce.
The little hot peppers lost a lot of their heat when fried... they were delicious with just a tad of a kick.
A glass of buttermilk made them even tastier. I love buttermilk straight up, sometimes with some chives finely chopped and mixed in, Jason doesn't ... must be the Polish in me.
A perfect onion ring. We made onion rings from all three onions... they all basically tasted the same... delicious.
And a beautiful tomato and mixed greens salad with Jason's own secret dressing. Made me feel less guilty for eating fried food.

Goodies form the market....
Onions... we're having fried onion rings and salad tonight for dinner...
Peppers... the market guy said they're spicy but not that hot... I got some... at home broke a tip off one, making sure there were no seeds and put a small piece in my mouth, instantly spit it out without biting it... 15 minutes later my tongue, roof of my mouth, lips, and the spot on my cheek where I touched my face still feeling the burn... those are going to hurt... Jay is planning to deepfry them as well...
Butternut squash... will become soup sometime this week...
Apples... I forgot what kind

Tonight's dinner...
Dinner: Monday Oct. 15th, 2007
Guests: Adrian, Kinga, Jay and I. It was so nice to see Adrian again... those semi-annual get togethers are supper special :)
Pom-Blueberry Martinis...Bruschetta made with the tiny tomatoes I got at the market and feta cheese... mmmmm
Jason tried something new... mushroom soy sauce and honey marinated salmon on a bed of barley cous cous, served with fresh lime...
I made Ina's Plum Cake "Tatin" (with the plums form the market)... very nice... but next time I'm going to cook my caramel just a tad less...
and surprise, surprise Kinga brought an apple spice coffee cake... dense, moist, delicious... and an excellent accompaniment to my morning coffee...

Thanksgiving….
Due to everyone's schedule this year, Jay and I actually missed this year's Thanksgiving lunch/dinner. So no pictures of the main meal, although I heard it was one of the best to date. We did make it for coffee and dessert, which was all homemade (I guess there is a first time for everything)… Karolina's own chocolate lava cakes and one of the best cheesecakes I've tasted (I'm a cheesecake lover)…
