New Year's Day...
We woke up to a nice snowy day.... around 10 am...

After breakfast we headed to SPot for coffee... we sat, we read, we attempted a crossword puzzle... on our way out I noticed this on their notice board... wonder who stood up whom...
walking towards Chapters...
sitting on the second floor browsing through some books and enjoying the view...
walking back....

fake pomegranate in front of Soho...
pretty lights at Soho entrance...
2pm and people still lining up for breakfast... oh sillines... if they only knew how close they are to Golden Griddle...
almost home...

our snowy front yard....
New Year's Eve at our place...
and it was just us. In our pj's by 6... how awesome. New Year's Eve is one night when I actually don't want to go out. I rather watch the craziness on our tv, and enjoy our time alone.
We lit some candles...

popped a bottle of champagne by 6:30... we don't wait for midnight... we like to toast the end of the year...

I know how to open it without spilling it...
ahhhh sweet bubbles...
Bearnaise Sauce and Chili and Lime Butter...
steamed crab legs...

mmmmmm....
Jay made us surf and turf for dinner. On our plates:
- stuffed tomatoes
- double stuffed potatoes
- green beans wrapped with a ribbon of carrot
- ratatoullie stuffed zucchini
- fillet mignion
- crab leg
Incredibly good...
yum...
for dessert, chocolate fondue...
with bananas, vanilla pound cake, pineapple, and strawberries...
happy ending...
