some of the rides at the EX we didn't go on...

too much of a bad thing at the EX

poutine... fries were too limp...corn dog.. second one in my life... a once a year treat...
fresh waffle with vanilla ice cream...
we tried to get some vitamins...
potato and chicken roti...
Montreal smoked meat with sauerkraut, mustard, fries, pickle, and some hot peppers...
the Tim Horton's of the EX...
we went to the competition, cheaper, more plentiful, and just as tasty...
this one put us over... :)

yum...

Dinner 14: Friday, August 15th, 2008

it was just Kinga this time around... Lisa is lost at the cottage :)
we drank red...
had phyllo wrapped brie and red currant jelly... (we just have so much cheese)
Yukon and sweet potato rosti with green beans, patty pans, mushrooms, and shallots...
for dessert compote by me, composed of yellow plums, apricots, blueberries, cherries, apples, and pears...
and Jason picked up some cupcakes... we all had different frostings...
I had cookies and cream frosting on a chocolate cupcake and lemon frosting on a vanilla cupcake...
Kinga had berry frosting on a chocolate cupcake and chocolate frosting on a vanilla cupcake...
and Jay had green frosting on a marble cupcake and orange and cream frosting on a chocolate cupcake...
love cupcakes....

delicious...

tiny and fabulous

they are just so beautifull

Dinner with Magda and Patrick

Jason's paella prep...I baked a blueberry cake...
we started of with some pink bubbly...
had a phyllo dough wrapped and baked brie cheese along with my home made red currant jelly...this was a winning dish... so tasty
we moved on to white...
some citrus water...
a finishing touch...
oh yum...
and a slice with some honey vanilla youghurt

small watermelons are the best

easy to peel and cut, no leftovers, and soooo sweet...

baby coconuts

picked them up at Fresh and Wild... they are dry inside, but very tasty... can't wait until Jay uses them in a curry

the best beans

made by Jay of course...

it was pretty good..

Jay had a dentist appointment…

so he made mini raisin butter tarts for everyone at the office :)

I ate six of them…. they were irresistible

leftover turkey became a filling for quesadillas

good beer...so delish, served with a beet salad, and Jay's own gooseberry relish (we picked them on the farm the day before)
