The ultimate pork roast…

this baby spent over 24 hours in the oven... mini potatoes and sauerkraut were added near the end...it was unbelievably good.. and leftovers became awesome pulled pork sandwiches next day... and the crackling... oh my the crackling... the other withe meat was divine...

sunset on May 15th

Dinner 11: Thursday May 15th, 2008

to start some marinated olives, red peppers, and roasted garlic...Some Morbier cheese. "The bottom layer consists of the morning milk and the upper layer is made of the evening milk. The process was developed when secluded farmers couldn't make it to the village. There was not enough milk to fill the round molds so they would fill it halfway with the morning milk, sprinkle wood ash on top of the milk to keep a crust from forming, and then add the evening milk to top it off." It was delicious..
LASAGNA!!!!!
fresh whole wheat pasta sheets, green pepper, zucchini, eggplant, ricotta cheese, Jay's own tomato sauce, mushrooms, spinach, and mozzarella cheese.... along with some garlic bread...
For dessert I made orange and almond cake (it's flourless) with some soft whipped cream and orange segments tosses with caramelized orange peel...
