lunch on Wednesday...

We went to Bayview Village mall.... a very unusual shopping experience... this place doesn't have a food court or most of the stores you'd find in an ordinary place... we had a walk around anyways and lunched at Oliver & Bonacini Cafe Grill. The food was a bit of a hit and a bit of a miss...it was past noon so we decided on some refreshments, a beer for Jay and a citrusy white Sangria for me...
I chose Jump's Original Grilled Calamari with anchovies, capers, tomatoes, and black olives in a lemon brown butter sauce as my appetizer... a total hit
Jay had a small Caesar Salad with ciabatta croutons, Parmiagiano-Reggiano and creamy garlic dressing... very nice as well
then we both had burgers...
Jay had The Classic Burger: 8oz of flame broiled lean ground Canadian beef with fiery tomato salsa, dill pickle, fries and coleslaw ... fries were a disappointment as was the meat... it looked and tasted like something you'd get out of a supermarket freezer, did not have the appearance of house made...
my burger on the other hand was a total hit (well except for the fires... they were limp)... I had the Grilled Chicken Burger: lean ground chicken, peameal bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo, served with fries and coleslaw
